Chalk It Up to Sacramento is a chalk art festival that raises money to provide art grants for K-12 schools in the Sacramento region. This weekend was my 19th year as a volunteer artist, and I completed two squares together. My sponsor was City of Rocklin Mini Maker Faire, which is a wonderful event in October. This poor beetle is endangered not only because of logging, but also because they are so beautiful that people collect them in great numbers.
